A New Nose on Patrol in Mt. Juliet
The Mt. Juliet Police Department has a new four-legged officer on the force! Officer Reese Harper and his new K9 partner, Reign, have officially joined the department as its second K9 team. Reign, a 16-month-old Belgian Malinois from Czechoslovakia, is certified in obedience, evidence search, suspect search, and criminal apprehension, with narcotics detection training on the horizon.
This is actually Officer Harper's second K9 partnership — his previous partner, Aksel, was injured in a vehicle accident and had to retire, but is happily living out his days with a loving MJPD family. Harper and Reign completed eight weeks of intense bonding and training before hitting the streets, and the two are already building a strong partnership. "We have a spark together," Harper said of his new partner. Reign and Harper will work alongside the department's other K9 team, Officer Jordan Brown and Citron, on alternating shifts to ensure K9 coverage during peak hours across the city. Welcome to the team, Reign! 🐾
🍗➡️🥯 Change is coming to Lebanon Road!
The former KFC location on Lebanon Rd. in Mt. Juliet has quietly closed its doors, and plans have now been announced for an Einstein Bros. Bagels to take over the space. The popular bagel and coffee chain will bring a new breakfast and lunch option to the area. No opening date has been announced yet, but we'll keep you updated as more details become available.
🍿 Cheap Summer Fun Alert: Movies for just $1!

Looking for an affordable way to beat the heat this summer? Regal Cinemas in Mt Juliet is offering $1 family movie tickets Monday through Thursday on select 11:00 am movies now through August 13.
The lineup includes favorites like Sing, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, The Garfield Movie, David, and more, making it a fun and budget-friendly outing for the whole family.
While you're there, take advantage of special snack deals, including $3.99 Dippin' Dots and a $5.99 Snack Pack featuring a junior-sized drink, popcorn, and fruit gummies. These specials are only available at the beginning of the $1 movie.
Just a heads-up: there’s a $1 processing fee when buying tickets online. The theatre confirmed you can skip the fee by purchasing directly at the box office, but it’s best to arrive a little early since they can sell out. Either way, it’s a great summer deal and an awesome way to keep the kids entertained without breaking the bank! Click here to learn more!
