Happy Father’s Day weekend, Mt. Juliet! 🎉
This week’s issue is packed with updates from around Mt. Juliet — from the city being recognized as one of the safest in Tennessee to youth football and cheer opportunities for families preparing for the fall season.
We’re also sharing several new businesses that are opening or coming soon, along with local food, entertainment, and community updates as summer continues to heat up around town. Plus, we’ve brought back our Father’s Day Guide in case you still need a last-minute gift idea before Sunday.
There’s also a BOGO coupon that’s perfect for this time of year and so many things happening around town that the newsletter can barely keep up with them all.
Summer can be a slower season for local businesses, which makes it a great time to shop local and support the restaurants, shops, and small businesses that help make Mt. Juliet such a special place to call home.
Ready to go? Let’s dive in! 🌞

🏆 Mt. Juliet Ranked Among Tennessee’s Safest Cities
Mt. Juliet has been ranked the 4th safest city in Tennessee according to a recent report from Eufy, which analyzed crime rates, safety data, and community trends across the state. The recognition highlights Mt. Juliet’s continued growth while maintaining a strong reputation as one of Middle Tennessee’s safest places to live, work, and raise a family.
City leaders say the recognition reflects the continued investment in public safety by the Mayor and Board of Commissioners, along with the dedication and professionalism of the men and women who serve our community every day. A big thank you goes out to the Mt. Juliet Police Department for helping make Mt. Juliet one of the safest places to call home.

Long-Awaited Mt. Juliet Road Project Officially Begins
One of Mt. Juliet's most anticipated transportation projects is officially breaking ground! The Old Lebanon Dirt Road Improvement Project will widen nearly two miles of roadway from Moreland Dr to Chandler Rd and add a new 10’ wide multi-use trail, improving safety and connectivity for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists. The community is invited to celebrate the milestone on Monday, June 22, at 5:00 p.m. Click here for more info.

Beckwith Soap is opening its new location on June 19 at 2397 N. Mt. Juliet Rd. The locally owned business is known for its handmade soaps, skincare products, and natural household items made without harsh chemicals, and the new storefront will give customers a dedicated space to shop the full product line in Mt. Juliet.
“Mt. Juliet is officially in its Bagel Era” 🥯
A comment we spotted this week summed it up perfectly, after the news broke that Einstein Bros. Bagels is taking over the old KFC building on Lebanon Rd. Between Einstein Bros., Ugly Bagel, Jersey Oven and Bagel Barn, our bagel options are growing fast — and honestly, hand us some cream cheese and we’re here for it!
There’s plenty more happening around town, too. A new arcade and entertainment center called Good Clean Family Fun is coming to the former Bargain Hunt space, while Slick City near Costco is expected to begin construction soon after officially closing on the property.

Slick City
Other updates around town:
• Rock N Roll Sushi and Asian company & Boba Tea are working on their build-outs at Everette Downs
• Jim ‘N Nick’s BBQ is under construction near Costco with hopes for a fall opening
• The new Starbucks near the Chamber is getting closer to opening day
• Subway next to Costco at 105 Legacy Pointe Blvd is now open! Celebrate their grand opening week from June 22–28, 2026, with any footlong for just $5.
🏈📣 Mt. Juliet Youth Football & Cheer Programs Now Open! 🏈📣
If your child is interested in football or cheerleading, Mt. Juliet has two great local programs offering opportunities for kids to learn, compete, and be part of a team.
Green Hill Sports Association (Green Hill Hawks) – GHHawks.org
Practices at Green Hill High School and offers tackle football and cheer for kids ages 5–12. This program focuses on teaching fundamentals, teamwork, and game-day experience in a structured youth league setting.
Mt. Juliet Youth Sports Association (Mt. Juliet Bears)- MJYFC.org
Practices at Mundy Park and offers tackle football for ages 5–12 and cheerleading for girls ages 5–14. The program emphasizes skill development, discipline, and building confidence both on and off the field.
Both leagues are great ways for kids to stay active, make friends, and get involved in the local community this season. Registration typically fills quickly, so families are encouraged to sign up early.

Meet the Team
Denise is a SoCal native who has called Middle Tennessee home for 25 years. A self-proclaimed foodie, she’s always on the hunt for the area's latest and greatest restaurants—though during football season, you’ll likely find her locked into a game.
Mike originally hails from New Jersey and has lived in Mt. Juliet for over 30 years. When he isn’t cheering on his favorite college and pro football teams, he loves getting out to catch some live local rock music.
Together, we started What’s Up Mt. Juliet because we believe there is so much to love about this great city. Each week, our goal is to bring you the best of Mt Juliet…and hopefully brighten your day along the way!
Thanks for letting us be a small part of your week!
