🍧 Restaurant Spotlight: Pelican’s Snoballs
Location: 2365 N. Mt Juliet Rd, Mt. Juliet
Price Range: $3+ per person

For Eric, owner of Pelican's SnoBalls, serving frozen treats has always been about more than just the flavors—it's about creating memories.

Eric was inspired by his own childhood, when simple family outings for a sweet treat created lasting memories. He wanted to provide that same experience for families in Middle Tennessee: a fun, affordable place where parents and kids can spend time together without spending a fortune.

Many Mt. Juliet residents may remember Pelican's former location on Lebanon Road. When their lease ended and rent increased, Eric faced the difficult decision to close the store. Fortunately, city leaders encouraged him to return when the building they now occupy became available. After renovating the space, Pelican's SnoBalls found a new home in Mt. Juliet.

Today, families can choose from well over 100 flavors, ranging from favorites like Cheesecake and Strawberry Daiquiri to more adventurous options like Pickle and Toothpaste. (We tried the Toothpaste flavor ourselves, and surprisingly, it wasn't half bad!)

Pelican's also offers sugar-free and dye-free options, and all of their products are lactose-free, gluten-free, and peanut-free, making it easier for everyone to find something they can enjoy.

Perhaps the best part is the price. A Kiddie Cup costs just $3 and is much bigger than the name suggests—plenty to satisfy even the biggest sweet tooth.

One challenge Eric faces is visibility. Because of signage restrictions, Pelican's can be easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. But if you drive by too quickly, you'll be missing out on one of Mt. Juliet's best summer treats. With affordable prices, a family-friendly atmosphere, and a genuinely welcoming vibe, it's well worth seeking out.

Whether you're stopping by for a classic flavor or feeling brave enough to try something unusual, it's clear that Eric's goal isn't just to sell SnoBalls. He's created a place where families can slow down, spend time together, and make a few memories of their own.
