I'd been hearing through the grapevine that Billy Goat Coffee has been making some big changes. It had been some time since my last visit, so I headed over to see what all the talk was about. I'm really glad I did.
Meet Bryan — The Heart Behind the Cup
I had the pleasure of sitting down with Bryan, the dedicated owner of Billy Goat Coffee for the past two years, and it didn't take long to understand why this place feels so special. Bryan is a veteran with a background in fitness training and a genuine passion for helping kids and teens build confidence, strength, and self-respect. He's even the author of a children's book and an adult devotional — both of which are available right inside the café!
Bryan’s bond with Billy Goat runs deep—he met his wife here, and now they’re expecting their first child! That personal connection fuels his dedication to making every customer and team member feel valued and appreciated. His genuine care is evident the moment you step inside, shining through in everything he does.
A Fresh New Look & Feel
The most immediately noticeable change at Billy Goat Coffee is the redesign. The space has been reimagined with a clear vision — to become a true community and event hub. The interior flow is much more open and efficient, making it ideal for gatherings of all kinds. And it's already working! During my visit, the Mahjong Club of Mt. Juliet had taken over for their regular Thursday afternoon session, and I was genuinely impressed by the energy in the room. The Mt Juliet Running Club also calls Billy Goat home on Friday mornings — undoubtedly fueling up before hitting the pavement! 🏃
Billy Goat has recently hosted wedding receptions and worship nights, and the community events calendar only seems to be growing. Even more exciting, Bryan is in the process of transforming the outdoor lawn area into a relaxed, comfortable outdoor space complete with string lights and patio furniture — the kind of spot you'll want to linger at with a great cup of coffee and good company. ☕✨
The Food & Drinks
Bryan and his team have put just as much thought into the menu as they have the space. New additions like the loaded hash brown bowl and grilled cheese croissant have been crowd pleasers, while beloved staples like the Keto and low-carb options are still very much on the menu.
The baked goods alone are worth the trip. Billy Goat makes their muffins and cookies completely in-house, with muffin flavors like double chocolate, orange cranberry, and blueberry. The cookies are absolutely delicious — and exciting news — they're preparing to roll out even more cookie options with rotating seasonal flavors. 🍪

The coffee menu is extensive and fully customizable with a variety of milks and both regular and sugar-free syrups. They also now serve organic coffee, using beans roasted locally. I personally tried the Chocolate Lovers Latte and it was rich, chocolatey, and absolutely hit the spot. ☕🍫

Billy Goat Café has also added catering for meetings and events, with their breakfast burritos being a particular favorite for large groups.
